PlanmecaUSA_Donald-BoydPlanmecaUSA, Roselle, Ill, has named Donald Boyd as dental service organization (DSO) account manager. The appointment is inline with the company’s view of the growing importance of the DSO industry segment.

According to a press release from the company, Boyd will partner with key decision makers who “understand the efficiency model that drives digital integration in the growing DSO segment.”

Boyd is charged with working with the company’s sales, service, distribution network, and marketing teams to better maximize relationships with DSO customers and create new workflows for them.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Boyd previously worked with Health International as a sales representative, as well as Midwest Dental and Premier Dental as a territory manger and at Henry Schein as an area sales manager. He also spent 18 years with Nobel Biocare in various positions, including sales representative and national accounts manager.

At Biocare, Boyd focused on improving the company’s market share within the growing DSO network by developing and building relationships within the corporate structure of the larger DSOs, including Aspen, GE, DCA, and Heartland Dental.
