SmileDirectClub released a new Wireless Premium Teeth Whitening Kit and won an award for its telehealth platform.

SmileDirectClub announced the expansion of its oral care product offerings with a new Wireless Premium Teeth Whitening Kit.

SmileDirectClub’s whitening treatment combines two oral care accessories, a 6 mL whitening gel pen and a rechargeable, reusable Wireless LED Whitening Light to brighten teeth by up to 9 shades in a week, according to the company.

The new gel pen includes more gel than 4 standard pens and is enamel-safe with low sensitivity. With a no-mess applicator gel and portable wireless light, it is designed for use at home or on-the-go.

“With the launch of the Wireless Premium Teeth Whitening Kit, we are merging our original bestselling whitening gel and new Wireless LED Whitening Light that utilizes advanced technology,” said Amy Keith, general manager of global oral care at SmileDirectClub. “This integration brings even more convenience and personalization to our customer’s teeth whitening experience, and we’re thrilled to add it to our top-performing whitening portfolio.”

SmileDirectClub was also the recipient of an award for its telehealth program.

SmileDirectClub has been selected as the Best Telehealth Platform award winner in the sixth annual MedTech Breakthrough Awards program conducted by MedTech Breakthrough, which recognizes the top companies, technologies, and products in the global health and medical technology market.

Since the start of the pandemic, SmileDirectClub has introduced new features to its telehealth platform, including a video chat capability and the SmileDirectClub App, which helps customers stay on track throughout treatment.

Additionally, the company’s telehealth platform features the treatment planning software SmileOS, which uses AI to deliver enhanced treatment outcomes and more accurately predict tooth movements.

“From its inception, SmileDirectClub has been a pioneering innovator with breakthrough telehealth technology, changing the game in providing access to care to large swathes of the U.S. and global population,” said James Johnson, managing director, MedTech Breakthrough. “Their first-of-its-kind medtech platform for orthodontia has unlocked a smarter, better way to straighten teeth, making clear aligner therapy more accessible for everyone – and they continue to innovate with leading-edge solutions such as their SmileOS treatment planning software.”
