The product is ideal for patients with a high-risk of dental caries, which remain the most common chronic disease globally, according to Colgate.

The toothpaste’s liquid gel formula, which contains 1.1% sodium fluoride (5,000 ppm), has been shown in in vitro pH cycling studies to provide better remineralization compared to competing products, according to the company.

The product uses Colgate’s FluoriGard technology to produce a temporary shift in pH, a condition that favors remineralization and fluoride uptake in the oral cavity.

Booster Plus delivers an 86% improvement in enamel fluoride uptake compared to previous Colgate PreviDent 5000 Booster formulas, the company said.

Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals is a subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive.
