Imaging Sciences International, Hatfield, Penn, has released a new cone beam 3D radiographic imaging system called the i-CAT FLX.
The FLX system allows for a full-dentition 3D scan at a lower dose than a panoramic image, while its cone beam technology limits radiation only to the area of scanning interest, according to the company.
FLX comes installed with Tx STUDIO treatment planning software, which provides access to treatment tools, surgical guides, and other applications.
The product’s 3D and 2D images can be used for implants and restorations, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, plus TMD and airway disorders.
