Robert Chastant, DDS, a SureSmile® provider in New Iberia, La, received the award for excellence at the recent SureSmile User’s Meeting. Sponsored by parent company OraMetrix, the meeting took place in San Diego and focused on best practices and new techniques for using SureSmile technology. 
 
Chastant (pictured at right) was selected for the first place award for case excellence and also received the 2009 achievement award. The awards are based on the quality of his results with facial enhancements, treatment time, and minimal number of appointments.
 
Chastant introduced the SureSmile system to his patients and community in September 2007 and has since focused on advancing his SureSmile education in order to provide patients with greater ease of treatment and a superior smile result. Chastant says that his patient treatment times average less than 1 year, and he has reduced patient appointments by 1/3 to an average of 10 appointments per case.
