Natural Dentist, a Massachusetts-based manufacturer of all-natural oral care products, has appointed Mark Koide as its CEO. Koide succeeds Nancy Rosenzweig, who led the privately held company for 3 years.

Koide joins the company with more than 15 years of experience in consumer packaged goods and a strong background in natural foods and beverages. He most recently was global president of the Seeds of Change division of Mars Inc. Previously, he was an executive at Groupe Danone and Pepperidge Farm/Campbell Soup Co. Koide was a co-founder of Walnut Acres, an organic food startup company that was sold to The Hain Celestial Group in 2003.

"The Natural Dentist is at a pivotal stage of development," Koide says. "I am excited to be joining the company at this stage, as the natural category continues to move from a trend to a deliberate lifestyle for a surging number of consumers. Interest in health and wellness and awareness of product ingredients are at an all-time high. There is a clear need for a natural, clinically proven alternative to conventional oral care products. Consumers and retailers are clamoring for brands like ours."
