Ormco Corp, Orange, Calif, introduced the Demi™ Plus LED Curing Light System at the AAO Annual Session in Orlando, Fla.
Using Demetron™ technology, pioneered by Kerr, the Demi Plus LED Curing Light System features Periodic Level Shifting (PLS) technology that can provide reliable curing for composite shades A3 and lighter in 5 seconds, according to the company. PLS technology reportedly provides cool output and does not generate excess heat while the system is in use.
In addition, the Demi Plus features advanced battery technology that reportedly allows for uninterrupted operation, as well as three different time settings, an extended light guide with longer reach for more precise application, and a quiet fan to help keep the unit cool.
The Demi Plus LED Curing Light System was designed to be lightweight and ergonomic. The exterior of Demi Plus is made of Valox, a high-performance thermoplastic polyester resin that, according to Ormco, protects and extends the life of the unit.
The Demi Plus comes with a 3-year warranty.
