Ormco Corp, Orange, Calif, has opened registration for its 11th Annual Damon Forum. The privately sponsored clinical educational and practice-building conference is designed for orthodontists, clinical staff, treatment coordinators, office managers, and front office staff.
The event will take place January 18 to 22, 2012, in Phoenix.
The Damon Forum will feature 30 lectures and workshops, including a lecture by Dwight Damon, inventor of the Damon System, whose talk, “A Decade of Passive Self-Ligation,” will look at the evolution of self-ligation technology and its future.
Other sessions will include hands-on bracket placement workshops for precision finishing, integrating functional and cosmetic results, increasing patient compliance, incorporating temporary anchorage devices and digital solutions, and simplifying challenging cases.
Additionally, the Forum will also showcase new intraoral scanning technology, as well as other digital treatment solutions.
Ormco will also use the event to release the results of its study looking at consumer health care purchasing criteria and patients starts data to help doctors understand the changing marketplace and how to adapt their practices to accommodate a more discriminating prospective patient.
