Through the nonprofit organization Smiles Change Lives, the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Minneapolis, offered orthodontic screenings to low-income families in Minnesota on December 20.

Smiles Change Lives, developed in 1997 as the Virginia Brown Community Orthodontic Partnership, has provided medically necessary orthodontic treatment to more than 800 children in the United States.

Partner orthodontists in the Smiles Change Lives Minnesota Chapter include Michael Hoxie, DDS, and Angela Wandera, DDS, both in Eden Prairie, Minn.
