Syneron Dental, Yokneam, Israel, introduces the LiteTouch™ System. The LiteTouch is an all-tissue, non-fiber, non-articulated arm Er: YAG dental laser that can be used for hard- and soft-tissue procedures.
According to the company, placing the laser chamber within the handpiece eliminated the need for fiber and made it possible to reduce the size of the overall machine by removing the optical table and articulated arm.
The handpiece, designed like a normal drill, rotates 360 degrees. The fiberless design was made to reduce energy loss.
