3M Unitek, Monrovia, Calif, will offer a 1-day course on using aesthetic appliances to brand and market a successful practice. The course, titled “Creating an Aesthetic Practice with Innovative Solutions,” will be offered October 10, 2014, near San Francisco.

Topics include making the case to waive upgrade fees on ceramic brackets; increasing patient referrals and not relying on GP referrals, as well as increasing your practice’s conversion rate; using your patient as a walking, talking advertisement and advocate in your community; and the importance of staff training and ensuring that everyone is on the same page. In addition, the course will cover how ceramic brackets compare to metal brackets, including torque expression and finishing.

The course will be held at the Hilton San Francisco Airport Bayfront in Burlingame, Calif.
