Event speakers will provide updates on government assistance, as well as the changes orthodontists may have to make to their business strategy.

Bentson Copple & Associates is presenting as part of a number of upcoming webinar series aimed at helping orthodontists meet the challenges ahead.

First up, Chris Bentson, a partner with the firm, will take part in The Digital Orthodontist: Live! Meeting 2020—a live, virtual, and interactive meeting for orthodontists and related dental professionals, which runs Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24. The event, which features 20 industry experts, will present practical and relevant approaches to patient care, marketing, and life balance. There are 10 CE credits available, with archived videos up to 1 year.

Bentson will be presenting “Things I’ve Learned At Home: Family, Maslow, and How We Get Back to Normal” on Friday, April 24 at 4:20 pm CST. He will lead a discussion of how he has reacted as a husband, father, and business owner to the changes caused by COVID-19. He will also share what he has learned about the hierarchy of needs and offer some commentary on how that factors into a new go-to business strategy for orthodontists.

And then, in partnership with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), on Tuesday, April 28, 10:00 am to 11:15 am CST, Bentson, along with his colleagues Doug Copple, CVA, and Shannon Patterson, CPR, CMSR, also of Bentson Copple & Associates, will present a free follow-up webinar, entitled “COVID-19 PART 2: Shaping the Business of Orthodontics Today, Tomorrow and Years to Come!”

The three will pick up on the conversation from a webinar session held at the beginning of the month on how the coronavirus outbreak continues to transform every aspect of society. In addition, the three will focus on the latest updates and changes that have taken place since Part 1 of this webinar, including the CARES Acts, guidance issued by the SBA, and the PPP loan funding status. Bentson will touch on what the first day of reopening one’s practice may look like. Patterson will provide updates for doctors seeking orthodontic jobs and careers.

This webinar will also look at options to consider for employees, with new sources of data that will help the industry know when the consumer is coming back; the effects on practice values and delays of practice sales and partnerships; and the importance of transparency and communication for both current employees and prospective candidates during the pandemic.
