The free 1-hour, 1 CE credit webinar will discuss why practices need to take a proactive posture with data security to avoid significant business loss.

Carestream Dental will focus in on technology disaster preparedness in an upcoming free CE webinar. Presented by Amy Wood, a data breach consultant, the webinar will discuss why practices need to take a proactive posture with data security given that there is a 90%+ rate of total loss of business after a catastrophic data loss.

Wood will break down technology “geek speak” to help attendees understand their own technology and discuss the current standard of care for ensuring planned failures instead of costly disasters.

The course will cover how to develop a disaster plan for a practice, evaluate how to effectively operate in emergency mode, practice disaster objectives with a team, and analyze how ransomware plays a part in disaster preparedness.

The 1-hour webinar, “Technology Disaster Preparedness,” is scheduled for September 15, 2021, at 4:00pm PDT. Attendees can earn 1 CE credit.

Wood, who has been in the healthcare industry for 22 years, with 14 as CEO of ACS Technologies LLC, has spent the last 8 years as a data breach consultant, and more recently as CEO of Copper Penny Consulting LLC. She consults with businesses to address their risk management and HIPAA compliance programs, both before and after a data breach.
