Adstra Systems has introduced a Compare Tool as part of its Adstra Imaging™ Dental Image-Management software. The Compare Tool allows orthodontists to automatically compare multiple images of the same tooth, taken at different times, with a simple click of a button.
The Compare Tool may be used for evaluating progress or deterioration over time or for viewing pre- and postprocedure images simultaneously. To use the Compare Tool, user simply click on the “Compare” button while viewing a particular image. A new screen then appears that displays the current image along with the last image taken of that tooth (or teeth). The tool automatically retrieves previous images, one at a time, in reverse chronological order, displaying up to nine images simultaneously.
The software allows clinicians to capture, enhance, and store images from various digital devices, intraoral or digital cameras, and flatbed scanners.
