topsXtreme introduces its version 3.1, which is compatible with Leopard, the latest upgrade to Apple’s operating system. topsXtreme is the Mac OS X-based orthodontic practice-management system with imaging.

“Running topsXtreme with Leopard will give new users a Mac that is easier to use than ever,” said topsXtreme’s president, Mark Sanchez, DDS. “topsXtreme is already fast, secure, stable and flexible, and this operating system transcends all of these characteristics.”

Version 3.1 also extends topsXtreme’s integration with OrthoBanc, an online payment-processing system for orthodontic offices. topsXtreme users now have access to the company’s Recommendations service, which provides patient credit risk assessment in seconds.

topsXtreme users have enjoyed access to OrthoBanc’s payment acceptance service, which electronically processes payment acceptance via ACH drafts and credit card payments. The integration results in automatically updated ledgers in topsXtreme and bank deposits for orthodontic offices.

“We are so excited to be able to offer our Credit Recommendations through the topsXtreme integration,” said Marla Merritt, director of sales and marketing for OrthoBanc. “We know many topsXtreme users have been anticipating this upgrade! With OrthoBanc Credit Recommendations, a practice can determine the level of risk associated with each patient before offering payment options.”

Additional new features include:

• An import template for Quick Ceph Studio in topsXtreme’s image browser;
• receipt serialization, allowing offices worldwide new options for creating and accessing
important financial documents;
• new sortable reports that give orthodontic offices valuable data; and
• updated auto-pay plans, which can be modified as needed and verified with topsXtreme’s
receipt system.
