Dentsply Sirona has introduced faster 3D printing capabilities and a new automated nitrogen supply unit for its Primeprint system, aimed at improving efficiency and workflow in dental practices.

Dentsply Sirona has released a software upgrade for its Primeprint 3D printing system that aims to reduce production times for dental appliances. The update reportedly enhances performance for several materials, including Primeprint Splint, Primeprint Splint SF, Primeprint Splint ST, and applications such as models and trays. According to the company, nightguards can now be printed in approximately 14 minutes, cutting production time nearly in half. To enable the faster speeds, users must connect inLab CAM to DS Core, Dentsply Sirona’s cloud-based platform for digital dentistry.

Nitrogenerator Automates Nitrogen Supply

Alongside the software upgrade, Dentsply Sirona has introduced the Primeprint Nitrogenerator, a companion device that automates nitrogen supply for the Primeprint Post Processing Unit. The device reportedly eliminates the need for handling and refilling nitrogen bottles, offering a more streamlined workflow. In addition to convenience, the controlled nitrogen environment during post-processing is designed to improve the mechanical surface properties and overall durability of printed parts.
