Respire Medical, Brooklyn, NY, offers the Respire Blue Series of oral appliances for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The appliances were recently added to the list of Medicare-approved devices by the PDAC board. The devices are manufactured by Phoenix-based Gergen’s Orthodontic Lab, the first lab licensed to manufacture the device.
The Respire Blue Series places the jaw in a position that maintains an open airway by preventing the lower jaw from falling back and collapsing the airway. This allows patients to inhale more air per breath during sleep, according to the company.
Respire Medical has also teamed up with Sleep Group Solutions, North Miami Beach, Fla, to offer a CE course about the Respire Blue Series and dental treatment of snoring and OSA.
