3M Unitek, Monrovia, Calif, announced that Unitek™ Treatment Management Portal (TMP) and 3Shape Communicate™ software systems have been fully integrated with the 3Shape TRIOS® Intraoral Scanner for the creation of Incognito™ appliances or Unitek™ digital models.
TRIOS users no longer have to manually select and upload patient files to Unitek TMP. The new simplified workflow will instead prompt orthodontists to log into their 3Shape Communicate accounts from within Unitek TMP. Once the user confirms connection between the two accounts, the office’s available scans are uploaded into the scan selection list. The user can then associate a patient’s scans with their Unitek TMP orders.
According to a statement from 3M Unitek, the partnership between 3M Unitek and Denmark-based 3Shape follows a qualification process to ensure accuracy and ease of use for orthodontists.
