Planet DDS launched RCM Zero, a platform designed to automate revenue cycle management and reduce financial inefficiencies in dental support organizations.

Planet DDS has launched RCM Zero, a revenue cycle management platform intended to help dental support organizations (DSOs) reduce revenue loss by automating and centralizing the entire billing and collections process.

Inefficiencies in RCM Continue to Cost DSOs

Outdated RCM practices such as manual insurance verification and paper-based claims processing are driving up costs and increasing denial rates for DSOs, according to the company. Planet DDS estimates that these inefficiencies can cost DSOs up to 2.9% of production and require up to 8% of revenue for staffing. The result is unpredictable cash flow and significant revenue leakage across large dental organizations.

RCM Zero Designed to Automate Each Step

RCM Zero integrates with Denticon and Cloud 9 to automate eligibility checks, estimate patient costs, scrub and submit claims, post payments, and manage denials. The platform features enterprise dashboards for visibility across multiple locations and partners with third-party vendors including AirPay, DentalXChange, Sunbit, and Zentist.

Building Toward Financial Predictability

Planet DDS says RCM Zero is designed to eliminate manual processes, reduce denials, and shorten reconciliation time. “With RCM Zero, eligibility is instant, estimates are ready before treatment, patients pay with confidence, claims are clean, and payments post automatically,” said Nathan James, SVP of product at Planet DDS.

The company says future development will focus on achieving real-time pre-adjudication to further shorten the revenue cycle and improve cash flow predictability for DSOs.
