Henry Schein Dental Academy is hosting a webinar on cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).
In a Henry Schein webinar, Daniel Berant, DMD, a double board-certified specialist in periodontics and orthodontics, will walk through the basics of CBCT with a focus on periodontal and orthodontic diagnosis and treatments.
Berant will review the benefits of this technology for a range of procedures — from placing simple single implants to reverse engineering a socket for tooth autotransplantation.
He will also show how a CBCT scan has evolved from merely a crucial first step in the diagnosis process to guiding the treatment itself.
Attendees will learn how to understand and use the different views and capabilities of a CBCT machine, including radiation doses.
The session will also show how to utilize CBCT to aid in diagnosing, planning, and treating a variety of periodontal and orthodontic conditions and diseases.
Lastly, the webinar will demonstrate the reverse-engineered socket technique to complete successful tooth autotransplantation.
The webinar takes place on February 15 at 7 PM ET.
