Every orthodontist strives to have the design of his/her office reflect the personality of the practice. And it’s a designer’s job to make that happen. Orthodontic Products asked CIVITAS Architects to tell and, more importantly, to show us how they did just that.

What the Doctor Wanted: An office that exudes all the elements of high-quality patient care; a boutique practice with commitment to friendly patient care. Most importantly, that it be a reflection of the gentle and caring nature of the doctor. Practice goals and marketing goals were to be achieved within the same budget.
Interesting Design Aspects: The CIVITAS concept and practice of “Design for Success” was applied where: 1) the caring nature of the practice is readily perceived, and 2) the practice is effectively positioned within the community as a successful business.

Favorite Features: Openness of the space, color palette, and the materials used. They are gentle and friendly, all in an effort to effortlessly display the client’s personality. An added feature of the office is the easy and intuitive flow of people, work, and energy without forcing it. It is possible to be gentle and soft-spoken through design, while achieving a vibrant influence on how people feel and behave.
