Vivos Therapeutics, Denver, a company focusing on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) treatment, has signed a cooperative agreement with Benco Dental, Pittston, Pa to broaden the Vivos System’s reach in the dental market.
The Vivos System is a noninvasive, non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical, multidisciplinary treatment modality for mild to moderate OSA that does not require lifetime care for most patients. According to Vivos Therapeutics, the proprietary system “enhances and increases” the upper airway and has been designed to promote the proper growth and development of the hard and soft tissues surrounding and compromising the oral cavity, nasal cavity, upper and lower jaws, and other tissues of the airway.
The partnership with Benco Dental will launch with a series of events beginning in October. Vivos and Benco also plan to offer 27 seminars—one in every Benco sales territory—in the beginning of 2020. Benco customers will be able to learn in-person about the treatment, how it helps OSA sufferers, and increases the practitioner’s value to patinets, as well as resources available for integrating the system into their practices.
