Cloud 9 Software, the orthodontic practice management software company, announced that Mike Ressel will join the company as chief executive officer.
Since the retirement of Reid Simmons in May, Cloud 9 Software founder Ken Swinney has carried out his duties. With Ressel’s appointment, Swinney will transition to the new role of senior vice president of strategy.
Ressel comes to Cloud 9 with more than 25 years of experiences leading and scaling technology businesses. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer at a privately held SaaS company with a focus on group membership and payment solutions. Prior to that, Ressel served as general manager at an enterprise application software firm.
In his new role as CEO of Cloud 9 Software, Ressel will reportedly lead the organization through the next several phases of scaling operations and capabilities to deliver Cloud 9 to more practices and adjacent markets.
Says Ressel, “I’m beyond excited to be joining the Cloud 9 team as we continue to enhance our commitment to enabling specialty dental practices to deliver great outcomes for the patients they serve. Dental health is at the forefront of overall wellness and we are honored to do our small part in helping improve the health of millions of patients.”
