KLOwen Orthodontics has announced a new thought leadership series titled Custom Conversations: The Data & The Future of Orthodontics, with the first panel scheduled for January 8, 2026. The live event will feature an expert discussion on the business and clinical trends that emerged from 2025 data.

Panel Participants and Focus

The session will be hosted by Ryan Elmore, CEO of KLOwen Orthodontics. Panelists include Chris Bentson, partner at Bentson Copple & Associates; Ryan Moynihan, CCO of Southern Orthodontic Partners and consultant at Gaidge; and Dr Paul Trotter, owner of Trotter Orthodontics and a KLOwen user.

Bentson will share macro-level insights into industry growth and profitability. Moynihan will present practice-level analytics from 2025, focusing on efficiency and production gains. Trotter will offer real-world data from his practice on how custom workflows impact efficiency, profitability, and patient experience.

Exploring the Numbers Behind Growth

According to KLOwen Orthodontics, production in 2025 rose by 3.7% and new starts increased by 2%. Despite these gains, rising costs, staff turnover, and technology fatigue are affecting margins. The panel will explore how efficiency and customization can help practices navigate these challenges.

“Orthodontics is thriving, but smart growth, not just more growth, will define success moving forward,” said Elmore. “This conversation is about helping doctors see how efficiency, data, and custom technology come together to drive both clinical excellence and business performance.”

From Data to Decisions

Topics will include national benchmarks, efficiency metrics like appointments per case and production per visit, and the role of custom orthodontics in maximizing outcomes. The panel will also examine traits that may define top-performing practices in the next decade.
