LED Imaging, Atlanta, a new division of LED Dental, recently announced three new personnel appointments that will support the company’s product portfolio, technical services, and client services. The appointments include Wes Newsom as director of product line management for digital imaging, Shawn Randolph as director of technical services, and Joan Fiore as vice president of client services.

Wes Newsom will join LED Imaging as director of product line management for digital imaging. Newsom has over a decade of experience and will oversee the company’s product portfolio, including regulatory concerns, internal and external training and documentation, relations with corporate partners, regional development, and quality assurance processes. He will also coordinate focus groups, market surveys, and competitive product research to ensure all products meet the needs of dental practitioners.

Prior to joining LED Imaging, Newsom worked at Carestream Dental in similar product line management roles in addition to serving as a lead field engineer and technical support analyst for the company’s digital imaging products. Newsom is based in Atlanta and holds a bachelor’s degree in management of information systems from the University of West Georgia. He is also certified in practical product management from Pragmatic Marketing Inc.

Shawn Randolph will step into the role of director of technical services for LED Imaging. Randolph brings more than 15 years of experience working in various technology support roles in the dental industry. He will manage all of LED Imaging’s technical services, product training, and installations related to the company’s growing product portfolio.

Randolph managed technical services for several of Carestream Dental’s imaging products, including panoramic and cephalometric imaging systems, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) systems, intraoral sensors, and generators. Most recently, he served as the lead technical service engineer for the launch and implementation of Carestream Dental’s CAD/CAM product portfolio in practices across the country. He has also worked closely with the US military and large hospital organizations, focusing on integrations with medical picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standards, and other third-party software. After serving in the US Army for 6 years, Randolph attended Clayton State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information technology project management.

Joan Fiore will serve as vice president of client services for LED Imaging, bringing more than 30 years of business management experience in the dental industry to the position. She will focus on developing the company’s infrastructure to fully support customers after they purchase a product from LED Imaging.

Fiore was the owner and founder of InfoLogic Inc, one of the companies that became part of PracticeWorks in 1999 and ultimately Carestream Dental. Fiore served as director of training and implementations and then vice president of client services at Carestream Dental until 2011, after which she offered operations consultations for several businesses as a partner of Fiore Enterprises LLC. She attended North Carolina State University and has a bachelor’s degree in history.

“I’ve worked with Wes, Shawn and Joan in the past, so I know they will be valuable assets to our team,” said Lamar Roberts, president of LED Dental. “Their combined knowledge and experience will further propel our product development and grow our business on multiple fronts.”
