Objet Geometries Ltd, a 3D printing company, has entered into a collaboration with Clearstep Laboratories, a provider of digital orthodontic solutions. The goal of the collaboration is for Objet’s high-resolution, 3D printing systems to help Clearstep become more efficient in manufacturing custom-made clear aligners on a mass scale.
The Clearstep Solution, developed by Andrew McCance, PhD, MSc, BDS, FDSRCRS, MOrth RCS, DOrth RCS (pictured), is a series of clear, removable aligners. The aligners consist of individual parts vacuum-formed using Objet’s printed models.
