Henry Schein’s science-based climate targets, including a 2050 net-zero commitment, have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.


Henry Schein net-zero emissions targetHenry Schein Inc received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term and long-term emissions reduction targets, including a verified net-zero target by 2050.

The SBTi endorsement affirms the company’s commitment to cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with climate science. As part of the commitment, Henry Schein aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 emissions by 42% and Scope 3 emissions by 51.6% per million USD value added by 2030, using 2022 as the base year. It also plans to source 100% of its electricity from renewable sources by the same year.

Longer-term goals include a 90% reduction in Scope 1 emissions and a 97% reduction in Scope 3 emissions per million USD value added by 2050, alongside a continued commitment to renewable energy use.
