According to an article from The Intelligencer, Andrew Joseph Tatich, DDS, MS, of Wheeling, WVa, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at the Ohio Valley Medical Center. He was 61.
Tatich earned his DDS from West Virginia University (WVU) in 1975. Also during that year, he was recognized for outstanding achievement by the International College of Dentists. He was a member of Saint Peter and Paul Church in Moundsville, WV.
In 1977, Tatich earned a Master of Science Specialty Degree in orthodontics from WVU. From 1979 to 1987, Tatich was a part-time faculty member of the WVU Department of Orthodontics. He was a guest lecturer at West Liberty State College Department of Dental Hygiene; and was an associate staff member of Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Moundsville, WVa.
He was a member of the WVU School of Dentistry Alumni Association, the WV Dental Association, the WVU Orthodontic Alumni Association, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the AAO.
Tatich was in private practice from 1979 to 2005, when he retired.
Surviving are his mother; his wife, Sharon George Tatich; his son, Andrew J. “Drew” Tatich II; and his brother, Daniel E. Tatich.
