The American Dental Association (ADA) announced that it has teamed up with CAQH, Washington, DC, to offer a new ADA® Credentialing Service. The service, designed with CAQH’s ProView®, enables dental professionals to enter their professional and practice information one time in the protected digital platform, eliminating the need for dental professionals to submit multiple credentialing applications.

According to the ADA, any U.S.-based practicing dentist can participate in the service by visiting ada.org/godigital and then electing the “My Credential” icon. By accepting the terms and conditions, the user will be redirected to the CAQH ProView Welcome Page. There, he or she will see certain populated information from the ADA—or the information attested to previously.

Once a profile is complete and attested, users grant permission to the dental plans and other participating organizations they choose to access their data. The information can be used not only for credentialing, but also for provider directories, network adequacy, and other business needs.

Users can update their information at any time. Automatic reminders will ask users to review and attest to their information every 120 days so that the profiles remain up-to-date and accurate. The system will prompt users if their licenses or other documentation is about to expire.

A number of dental payors already participate in CAQH. A full list of payors is available at caqh.org/proviewdnetalplans.
