Practicon Inc introduces Cavex ColorChange alginate, which, according to the company, features a logical, three-stage color indicator that reduces guesswork and retakes, while delivering excellent detail and tear-resistant elasticity. The dust-free formula starts as a violet powder that turns pink when mixing time has ended and alginate can be placed in the tray. A second color change to white shows exactly when the impression has hardened and the tray can be removed from the mouth. ColorChange alginate offers a nonshrinking 120-hour (5-day) stability in an airtight enclosure. ColorChange comes in a 1.1-pound bag.
