Terry G. Dischinger, DDS, has joined the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) of Orthodontic Products. As a member of the EAB, he will advise the editor on the orthodontic news, products, and people that are best suited to appear in the magazine. 

Dischinger, a former professional basketball player, has a private practice in Lake Oswego, Ore. According to his Web site, before becoming an orthodontist Dischinger was an Olympic Gold medalist in basketball, won the 1962-1963 NBA Rookie of theYear award, and was a three-time NBA All-Star. He also served as an officer in theUS Army.

Dischinger received his BS in chemical engineering from Purdue University. He earned a DDS from the University of Tennessee Dental School and an MS in orthodontics from Oregon Health Science University.

He established the practice in Lake Oswego in 1977, and now practices there with his son, Bill.

He has lectured at the AAO Annual Session and a wide variety of other meetings. He has also published a number of articles in scientific journals.
