KaVo Dental Corp, Charlotte, NC, introduces SAFEdrive, an electric handpiece safety system that can be used with the ELECTROtorque TLC controller. The adaptive control technology tracks the performance of a handpiece during preps, and gives the user a warning if an attachment is malfunctioning or heating up.
KaVo also offers GENTLEcap, a protective autoclavable heat shield that can be used with SAFEdrive.
