The Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics (PCSO) recognized two Opal Orthodonticsadvisory board members for their achievements and contributions to thePCSO and the field of orthodontics. Terry McDonald, DDS (pictured), and RickMcLaughlin, DDS, were honored at the PCSO annual session in Honolulu.

During the session, McDonald received the Lifetime Achievement Award,which recognizes "exceptional personal effort by a PCSCO member toadvance the art and science of the orthodontic speciality." McDonald isthe third recipient of this award. Previous awardees include LarryAndrews, DDS, and Art Dugoni, DDS.

McLaughlin received an Award of Merit from the PCSO. The award wasestablished in 1987 to honor those within the geographic boundaries ofthe PCSO who have made a significant contribution to the profession oforthodontics.
