Sirona Dental Systems, Long Island, NY, recently announced that CEREC Omnicam customers can now submit digital impressions to the Invisalign® system. The capability is available where the CEREC Omnicam intraoral camera is used with the new CEREC Ortho Software 1.1.
CEREC Ortho Software 1.1 features a patent-pending guided scanning process and connects the software with Invisalign treatment.
CEREC Omnicam is the second third-party scanner qualified by Align Technology Inc, San Jose, Calif, for use with Invisalign.
The new software will be available in select markets by summer 2015.
