Whip Mix’s Annual LEAN Symposium Teaches Efficiency

Whip Mix Corp,Louisville, Ky, recently held its Lean Symposium of Dental Technology.The 2-day symposium, held October 7 to 8, 2011, brought lab owners,technicians, and industry leaders together to learn how LEAN conceptsand principles can improve the efficiency and quality of dental labs.

Attendees also had the opportunity to take part in a panel discussionwith lab owners and managers who have incorporated LEAN into their ownfacilities.

Whip Mix also used the event as an opportunity to recognize labs thathave successfully implemented LEAN. Tim Tyndall, owner of CreativeExpression, Winterville, NC, was awarded the John Ness Award for hisassistance to other laboratories making LEAN transformations. Rich Lhotaof Expertec Dental, Westland, Mich, received the LEAN Lab of the Year award.
