It’s time to tell us how 2022 was for you and your orthodontic practice. Take our second annual orthodontic practice survey and we will report back to you on the trends shaping the industry.

Orthodontic Products and Levin Group are teaming up again to conduct our second annual Orthodontic Practice Survey. We want to find out how you and your practice fared in 2022. Not only will we report back to you on the challenges and successes facing the orthodontic profession in the April/May issue of Orthodontic Products, but Roger P. Levin, DDS, founder and CEO of the practice management consulting firm Levin Group, will join us again for a podcast to break down the results and provide tips on how to navigate the year ahead.

In last year’s survey, you reported that while the pandemic had its impact, you were holding up well, with most practices experiencing stable or increased production in 2021. And while the uncertainty of COVID-19 continued to weigh on practices in 2021, the survey showed that overall practice production and new patients were not negatively affected. In fact, the survey found that there was much positive news amidst the continuing uncertainty.

And for 2022, we want to know if those trends held and what were the challenges that weighed on you. Was staffing still as much of a challenge in 2022 as it was in 2021? How worried were you about the competitive threat of GPs doing more orthodontics and direct-to-consumer aligner companies? Were DSOs/OSOs a threat?

What’s more, we want to learn where your patients are coming from. In last year’s survey, the majority of respondents reported that referrals from local dentists still provided the bulk of new patients, with referrals from parents of existing patients coming in second. We want to know if this has shifted in 2022 and how marketing tools like social media are impacting your outreach. OP
