At the 108th AAO Annual Session, the Academy of Orthodontic Assisting will sponsor a Clinical Staff Technique Competition on Monday, May 19, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Staff members will have the opportunity to challenge friends and coworkers while showing off their skills and competing for great prizes.
The competition involves performing common clinical procedures, such as placement of elastomeric ligatures, steel ligatures, and kobyashi ligatures on dental mannequins. Participants will be scored on how quickly and accurately they perform each procedure. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the session.
Any clinical assistant may participate. Space is limited, so participation will be on a first come, first served basis. For more information and to download the entry form, click here.
