The company is taking a hybrid approach this year, offering a full in-person program in Las Vegas, while also providing access virtually.

Dentsply Sirona announced that this year’s Dentsply Sirona World will take place as a hybrid event with an in-person program as well as access virtually. The CE event will be held September 23 to 25, 2021 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.

According to the company, participants can choose to join in person or via a live stream with special digital programming for those who cannot travel or who would prefer to take part virtually.

Dr Sameer Puri, vice president of education at CDOCS, will be the event’s MC. Nearly 100 speakers will lead over 100 courses across nearly every area of dentistry. Educational tracks include: dental lab, endodontics, implant dentistry, hygiene, clear aligner, restorative, dental assisting, digital impressions, CAD/CAM, CEREC CAD/CAM, imaging systems, office design, institutions (school and government), and dental service organizations.

Speakers at Dentsply Sirona World 2021 will include Mel Robbins, known for her TEDx talk, which has been viewed more than 25 millions times, and for books such as The 5 Second Rule: Transform Your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage. Entertainment will include this year’s headliners, The Chainsmokers, a Grammy-winning electronic music and production duo whose music crosses into indie, pop, dance, and hip-hop.

“More than an event, the annual Dentsply Sirona World is an experience connecting dental professionals to share ideas and gain access to the latest education and innovations related to digital workflows. And, as can be expected, all of this will take place in an inspiring venue in Las Vegas. More than any other year, we are looking forward to the opportunity to be reconnected and remind the world that dentistry is essential,” said Eric Bruno, senior vice president of the North America Regional Commercial Organization of Dentsply Sirona.

In 2020, Dentsply Sirona World was an all virtual event due to the pandemic. That event had more than 4,500 dentists, dental technicians, and practice teams who took part in over 70 courses. The pandemic caused the company to transition much of its clinical education into digital programing during the pandemic. The company reports that over 1 million participants joined 7,289 courses during that time. As a result, the company will continue to build its digital catalog of education programs, while investing in infrastructure for training courses and events.

The company is offering a basic registration to live stream the daily general sessions and live surgery which is available for free. Those who opt for the full virtual event will have access to the digital networking opportunities, health and wellness sessions, and access to educational breakout webinars worth CE credits. Currently, tickets are available for purchase of the full virtual event.
