On December 8, 2008 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) are hosting a joint symposium on the uses of lasers and other light-based technologies in dentistry. The symposium will take place on the FDA facility in Silver Spring, Md.
The symposium will provide an overview on the impact that light-based technologies have on dentistry, how these technologies interact with oral tissues, the impact they have in the practice of dentistry and other healthcare professions, and the potential of these technologies.
The presenters will include practicing clinicians, academicians, and researchers from around the country.
There is no cost to attendees, and 8 hours of continuing education credit will be provided by the ALD.
