The Colorado Orthodontic Foundation (COF), Denver, recently reached a major milestone. Now in its third full year of treating patients, the COF currently has 150 patients in treatment, with 25 patients having completed their treatment,
The organization relies on local orthodontists to volunteer their time and skills to treat local low-income children otherwise unable to afford treatment. With 38 Colorado orthodontists currently treating COF patients in 11 counties throughout Colorado, the organization has expanded in 2012 and started treatment on more than 35 patients this year. COF expects these numbers to increase with screening days coming up in September and February.
