TransFirst Health Services, a provider of credit card processing services, and New Horizons Software (NHS), a supplier of orthodontic practice-management software solutions, have announced their partnership to provide a fully-integrated payment processing feature for users of NHS’ OrthoExec Advanced Series practice-management system.

“Partnering with a payment processing company such as TransFirst, we are able to integrate important transaction functionality that encompasses a variety of payment types that our clients can depend on, so they can remain focused on dental health and the needs of patients,” says Joretta Beanland, president of NHS. “Our partnership with TransFirst allows us to deliver the required payment services for a healthcare office in a quick, easy, and comprehensive fashion.”

The partnership, linking TransFirst’s Transaction Central™ processing engine to the OrthoExec system, alleviates the need for traditional stand-alone point-of-sale equipment, simplifies daily payment-handling tasks, boosts staff productivity, and helps facilitate a reduction in accounts receivable.

With the system, OrthoExec users will be able to process all credit card and ACH (electronic check) transactions without migrating out of their software or away from their PC. With auto-posting features to patient files and accounting records, users will realize increases in productivity and process flow improvements. Transactions will be entered into the system, and then the response will be transmitted and received directly in the OrthoExec software, eliminating extra key strokes and data entry.
