imageInstrumentarium Dental Inc, Milwaukee, has packaged the Soredex Novus panoramic unit with the OpTime intraoral PSP system to create a Total Digital Solution (TDS).

According to the company, the Novus panoramic x-ray unit produces the same high-quality digital images as higher-priced units. Its controls allow users to change between adult and pedo panoramic images with the press of a button. A special MiniDose function ensures that patients receive the minimum radiation dose without compromising image quality.

The OpTime PSP system provides instant, chairside imaging without rigid, uncomfortable sensors. The OpTime has a 4.3-second readout time and automatically identifies the imaging plate size without needing separate adaptors or holders. The unit uses standard PSP imaging plates in size 0, 1, 2, and 3. An automatic plate-erasing system is built in.

According to Brian Broncatti, VP of sales and marketing, "The TDS System is being offered at this special price to make it easy for new dentists just setting up a practice or those wishing to upgrade, to make the transition to digital x-ray technology."
