The patient-orientated orthodontic information website has expanded its content for adult patients and added an illustrated, peer-reviewed orthodontic glossary.

The orthodontic patient information website ArchWired.com has updated its website and expanded the information available for adult orthodontic patients.

Content includes articles about coping with jaw surgery, aligner vs bracket treatment, retainer care, as well as an illustrated, peer-reviewed orthodontic glossary. The site’s Metal Mouth Message Board has also been updated, and new Facebook and Twitter feeds have been launched, according to the company.

ArchWired.com has been online for almost 20 years and has served a global audience, where readers can contribute stories and photos. The website update is in response to reader feedback.

“We wanted to refresh ArchWired and address topics relevant to today’s orthodontic patients,” said Lynn Schneider, site owner and editor. “Our readers wanted to keep current on … latest topics in orthodontics, and also requested an easy-to-use orthodontic glossary. I was happy to comply.”

The website is also accepting patient-orientated articles from dentists and orthodontists. According to the company, these guest blogger opportunities are available for no fee and the article or post will include a free backlink.
