3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark, announced the integration of TRIOS®, the company’s digital color impression system, with Insignia™ Advanced Smile Design™, a computer-designed treatment planning and custom-fabricated appliance software system from Ormco Corp. The integration allows orthodontists to send TRIOS intraoral scans to Ormco for the planning and delivery of its Insignia bracket treatment system.
TRIOS users can now choose Insignia from their 3Shape Communicate™ account to submit the case and send the TRIOS digital color impression file to Ormco. Ormco then uses the intraoral scan to create its customized digital orthodontic treatments.
Recently, Ormco updated Insignia to include custom TIB tubes with reduced profiles and greater bond strength.
