The software scans and digitally removes brackets from scans automatically.

EasyRx announced the official release of its EasyRx 3D Automated Bracket Removal software. The software scans and digitally removes brackets from scans automatically.

When scans are uploaded to EasyRx, the software automatically scans the file for brackets. If brackets are present on the scan, EasyRx 3D Automated Bracket Removal digitally removes the brackets and saves a new file. The software reportedly requires no user interaction. According to the company, the software will allow practices the ability for same day and short turnaround retainers, thus reducing patient visits, freeing up lab tech time, and giving the practice more control over turnaround times and costs.

According to the company, EasyRx 3D Automated Bracket Removal is currently running at 85 practices and labs.

The software can be paired with EasyRx 3D software to trim base, label scans, and prepare the file for 3D printing. EasyRx 3D Automated Bracket Removal includes EasyRx’s manual Bracket Removal Software and refinement tools such as build, carve, and smooth. These tools allow the practice to refine the model as needed.

EasyRX 3D Automated Bracket Removal software supports iTero and TRIOS scans. Additional scanner support is pending, according to the company.
