OraMetrix,Dallas, has released SureSmile 6.0, the latest version of itsorthodontic treatment-planning system. The upgraded system allowsorthodontists to plan movement in three planes of space and simulateoutcomes with respect to bone.

SureSmile 6.0 can be used for 3D digital imaging, planning and diagnostics, and robotic archwire customization.

According to the company, in a recent study of 36 patients from sixpractices using the beta version of SureSmile 6.0, treatingorthodontists “asserted that all treatment plans were changed based onthe modeled bone.”
