Planmeca, Roselle, Ill, announced the release of a new lightweight intraoral scanner. The 183 gram, compact Planmeca Emerald™ includes an antifog feature of the scanner’s tip mirror to allow for more consistent clear visibility. In addition, it uses autoclavable tips for better infection control.
Designed as a plug-and-play intraoral scanner solution, the Planmeca Emerald features hands-free operation with the foot control. The scanner is compatible with Planmeca Romexis® and Planmeca PlanCAD® Easy software suites, which provide real-time scanning data.
