Respire Medical,Brooklyn, NY, offers the Respire Blue Series of oral appliances for thetreatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The appliances wererecently added to the list of Medicare-approved devices by the PDACboard. The devices are manufactured by Phoenix-based Gergen’s Orthodontic Lab, the first lab licensed to manufacture the device.

The Respire Blue Series places the jaw in a position that maintainsan open airway by preventing the lower jaw from falling back andcollapsing the airway. This allows patients to inhale more air perbreath during sleep, according to the company.

Respire Medical has also teamed up with Sleep Group Solutions, North Miami Beach, Fla, to offer a CE course about the Respire Blue Series and dental treatment of snoring and OSA.
