The updated acrylic shade aims to increase treatment acceptance among young patients while maintaining the system’s proven material quality.

Dentaurum has introduced a new, more vibrant shade of its Orthocryl Pink colored monomer for removable orthodontic appliances.

The redesign of the acrylic material was driven by feedback from orthodontic laboratories and dental practices, as well as observations of current color preferences among children and adolescents. According to the company, custom-designed appliances with appealing colors can significantly increase treatment acceptance among younger patient demographics.

“Close collaboration with our customers is a key driver of innovation for us. With the new Orthocryl Pink we are offering precisely the shade that many users have been asking for: A truly authentic pink,” says a spokesperson, Dentaurum, in a release.

The Orthocryl system, which has been utilized in orthodontics for over 60 years, provides various colors, inlay designs, and material options for customized orthodontic plates. The product is also certified as a Class IIa medical device for fixed orthodontics. Dentaurum notes that users will continue to experience the same processing reliability and material quality as previous iterations.
