According to an article in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Dentsply International, York, Pa, is merging its New Orleans-based Raintree operation with its Glenroe division at Manasota Industrial Park, Bradenton, Fla. The company gave no timetable for the relocation.

Dentsply International employs 8,500 workers at divisions in 22 countries on six continents. Raintree, which Dentsply acquired in 2005, provides plastics for orthodontic aligners and retainers.

Glenroe employs 144 workers who manufacture injection-molded parts for orthodontics and general dentistry. The company also runs a smaller plant near Baldwin, Ga.

"Glenroe’s business operations will continue to grow and develop new products by expanding our manufacturing plants at a much faster rate due to the access of capital," said John Bozman, Sr, who founded the company in 1984.
